SCAP PRESENTS... AT SXSW 2007

New York, NY, February 22, 2007: ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers) is pleased to announce its line-up of events at the 21st Annual SXSW Music & Media Conference and Festival being held March 14
-18, 2007 in Austin, TX. ASCAP's high-profile showcases continue to be a
highlight of the festival attracting capacity crowds and music industry heavyweights who come to see the best emerging singer-songwriters and bands from the U.S. and abroad.

This year's line-up includes:

ASCAP Presents… Rock Showcase
Wednesday March 14 @ Dirty Dog Bar (505 E. 6th St.) Doors open at 8:00 p.m. SXSW badges required.

ASCAP & Filter Magazine Parties
Thursday – Saturday, March 15 - 17 @ Cedar Street Courtyard (208 W. 4th
St.)
12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. SXSW badges required.

ASCAP & Filter Magazine will present three days of outdoor parties featuring live performances by some of the hottest up-and-coming bands.
Details to be announced. Past shows have included performances by Embrace, Kaiser Chiefs, Metric, Phoenix, Silversun Pickups, Snow Patrol, Stars and The Cribs.

In addition to staging its popular rock and acoustic "ASCAP Presents…"
showcases and the Filter Magazine Parties, ASCAP will also host its annual Filmmaker BBQ, participate in music panel discussions, host its annual boat rides, as well as sponsor many other exciting showcases and parties to highlight the best and brightest in music.
